Looking for your W-2 from your previous employer?
We know you’re probably eager to get your taxes filed and refund check in the mail, but it is important that you understand Netchex is unable to send over your W-2 for a few important reasons.
1. By law, your former employer is required to provide you with your W-2.
2. Netchex is not legally permitted to act on behalf of the employees of our clients. We can only take action at the request of your former employer.
If you’re unable to contact your previous employer, you may want to consider reaching out to the IRS directly. To do that, click here.
The IRS can assist you in making a request to your former employer, or help you prepare a substitute W-2 if necessary.
