What Mineral Is & How to Access

Mineral is Netchex’s HR and compliance resource platform — a centralized hub for supporting your organization’s HR and compliance responsibilities. This session covers how to access it, how to navigate the dashboard, the core tools, and the two service tiers.

Accessing Mineral

Getting started is simple. From your Netchex dashboard, select HR Support from the left sidebar menu. The platform opens in a new browser tab, giving you direct access to your organization’s Mineral account and landing you on your personalized dashboard.

The dashboard

Mineral uses information such as your company’s size and location to display relevant compliance updates, employment-law changes, and HR news that may impact your organization. Each client has a secure, private profile, so your company’s information stays separate from all other users. As you work, you can save frequently accessed pages as favorites and create tasks that are automatically organized in your to-do list under Compliance and Company Management categories.

Core tools

• Smart Employee Handbook — a guided, step-by-step handbook builder that creates a customized employee handbook based on your company information and applicable state requirements. After you publish it, Mineral keeps monitoring regulatory changes and flags specific policies that may need updating, helping keep your handbook current.
• HR Compliance Library — a centralized reference for HR and employment topics: hiring practices, workplace safety, discrimination, wage-and-hour requirements, leave laws, and more. When questions arise, it helps you quickly locate reliable guidance.
• Templates & Resources — downloadable sample policies, letters, forms, and HR resources you can customize, plus educational materials like guides, checklists, and live webinars.
• Professional HR guidance — contact a Mineral expert by phone or submit a question through the platform, categorized by topic (safety, benefits, or general HR) so it reaches the right specialist. Submitted inquiries are stored in My Cases for later review.
• Get Help — available throughout the platform for quick access to the Help Center, technical support, live chat, and HR assistance.

Service tiers: Basic vs. Essential

All Netchex clients using Mineral have access to either Mineral Basic or Mineral Essential. Both tiers include many core features — Mineral Intelligence Alerts, the Smart Employee Handbook, the HR Compliance Library, Notifications, and the Benefits Document Center. The primary difference is access to Mineral experts: clients with Essential receive unlimited direct access to HR advisors. Organizations that anticipate frequent HR questions may find added value in Essential — reach out to your Netchex representative about which tier best fits your needs.
