FAQ

Questions about our free tools

Are Netchex’s calculators and tools really free?
Yes. Every tool on this page is free to use, and nothing sits behind a paywall. We built them to help employers get a straight answer fast, whether or not they ever talk to us about payroll.
What can I use right now?
Three tools are live today: the Free Employee Handbook Builder, the People & Payroll Readiness Score (PPRS), and the Compensation Benchmarking Tool. Each one links from the cards above and opens in a few clicks.
When will the other calculators be available?
Five more are in the works: salary benchmarking, a paycheck calculator, a payroll switch cost calculator, a tip pooling calculator and an overtime calculator by state. We’ll add each one to this page as it goes live.
How accurate are the results?
The tools give planning estimates based on what you enter and the rules and data built into each one. Check the results against your state’s rules and your own records, and talk to your tax or legal advisor before you act on them.
What is the People & Payroll Readiness Score?
The PPRS is a free assessment that takes about five minutes. It benchmarks your payroll, HR and compliance setup against your industry and puts a dollar figure on the gaps, so you know where to focus first.
