About North Texas Therapy and Home Care
North Texas Therapy and Home Care is a Texas-based healthcare organization providing therapy and home care services with a workforce of approximately 80 employees. Operating with a lean administrative team, the organization manages payroll, benefits, staffing, and compliance responsibilities alongside the daily demands of patient care operations.
Robin Collins, President of North Texas Therapy and Home Care, oversees payroll and benefits while also supporting staffing operations, compensation planning, recruiting, and broader business management responsibilities. As the organization continued to grow, the need for a more connected HR and payroll experience became increasingly important, particularly when coordinating with their third-party benefits team and supporting operational changes over time.
The Challenge
Managing Payroll and Benefits Across Separate Systems
Before Netchex, North Texas Therapy and Home Care used ADP for payroll and HR administration.
While cost played a role in evaluating alternatives, the larger issue centered around benefits integration and administrative coordination.
What really triggered our switch was the incorporation of NetBenefits. ADP did not have a feature where our third-party benefits team could be involved. The team was already collaborating with Netchex, so they introduced me.
For a smaller organization without a large administrative staff, managing payroll, HR, and benefits across disconnected systems added unnecessary steps to day-to-day operations.
At the same time, Robin’s responsibilities extended far beyond payroll.
She remained involved in staffing operations, compensation planning, recruiting support, marketing coordination, and overseeing benefits administration for the organization.
The team needed a platform that could better connect those processes while supporting the realities of a lean healthcare business.
The Solution
A More Connected Platform with Accessible Support
North Texas Therapy and Home Care transitioned to Netchex in 2015.
Robin recalls the implementation process as smooth and highly organized, supported by consistent communication and a dedicated onboarding representative.
“We had a dedicated onboarding representative who made sure that everything was completed. There was a lot of great communication to make sure things were done on time.” — Robin Collins, President
Shortly after implementation, the organization added NetGuide, further supporting onboarding and employee management processes.
The integration with their third-party benefits provider also simplified day-to-day administrative work.
“It’s kind of a one-stop shop. Especially if you have a third-party benefits team, they’re notified once I trigger an employee as full time, so they know to get them enrolled.” — Robin Collins, President
That automation removed manual coordination steps that previously required additional oversight from internal staff.
The move also created a more connected experience across payroll, benefits, and HR functions.
“The Netchex features fully integrated our HR components, HR, benefits, and payroll all in one package.” — Robin Collins, President
Results
Supporting a Growing Healthcare Organization Over Time
Over the past decade, Netchex has continued evolving alongside the organization as operational needs changed.
Robin highlighted the platform’s continued rollout of new tools and features, as well as the support provided when adapting to those changes.
“Netchex is constantly evolving with the times and offering new features.” — Robin Collins, President
As North Texas Therapy and Home Care introduced remote and hybrid work arrangements for office staff, the Netchex team helped configure geofencing and timekeeping functionality for employee clock-ins and clock-outs.
The organization also recently transitioned to a new medical records system that required payroll integration support.
“Pranav and Kyle were both very willing to help. The team just worked on the back end to get it set up. Great communication throughout.” — Robin Collins, President
The employee-facing app has also become a practical tool for the workforce.
“The app is very helpful for employees. They have the ability to easily log in and access their information, their payroll data, submit paid time off requests.” — Robin Collins, President
With fewer manual administrative steps tied to payroll and benefits coordination, Robin is able to focus attention on broader operational priorities.
“It allows me to work on other things to build my business.” — Robin Collins, President
Ongoing Partnership
Always Knowing Who to Call
One of the most consistent themes throughout Robin’s experience with Netchex has been accessibility.
Whether working with payroll, benefits, or tax-related questions, she knows where to go for support and how to quickly connect with the right team.
“I have really never had a problem with getting a hold of somebody. If I don’t hear back from one person, I can get connected to a different person to help me get to the correct person I need to talk to.” — Robin Collins, President
That responsiveness has remained important throughout the organization’s growth and operational changes over the past 11 years.
A Moment That Says It All
A Platform That Continues to Grow Alongside the Business
Therapy and Home Care has now worked with Netchex for more than a decade.
During that time, the organization has expanded operations, adapted to new workflows, supported remote employees, and introduced new systems, all while continuing to manage payroll, HR, and benefits through a single platform.
For Robin, the value comes down to having tools and support that help simplify the operational side of running a smaller healthcare organization.
“It takes some of the steps out of the day-to-day tasks for a smaller company because you don’t have as many administrative staff to help you with all of those pieces.” — Robin Collins, President
