FlexPay
Payday Doesn’t Have to Wait.
FlexPay is a financial wellness benefit available within Netchex — no extra tools, no workflow changes, no cost to you. Financial Stress Drives Turnover.
Earned Wage Access Helps Fix Both.
Most of your hourly employees get paid every two weeks. But rent, car repairs, and unexpected medical bills don’t wait for payday. When workers are stretched thin between checks, it shows up at work: missed shifts, distracted performance, and eventually a resignation.
The traditional answer is a pay advance program, a payroll loan, or a third-party app your team has to manage separately. None of those are great options. FlexPay is different. It’s already within Netchex, it costs your company nothing, and it gives employees real flexibility without creating new work for anyone on your team.
That’s a hard thing to say no to.
What FlexPay Delivers
According to PwC’s 2026 Employee Financial Wellness Survey, 59% of employees report being financially stressed, and that pressure directly undermines focus and productivity at work.¹ FlexPay is built for the businesses that run on both hourly and salaried workers, where retention, attendance, and recruiting pressure are real every single week.
Zero Cost to You
There are no employer fees, no funding requirements, and no changes to your payroll cash flow. PayAccess Services LLC, a Netchex group company, funds every advance directly. You activate the benefit and step back.
Your Company is Never on the Hook for EWA Advances
Employees are responsible for repaying all advances taken through FlexPay. But if a repayment can’t be collected due to termination, a schedule change, or any other circumstance, PayAccess Services LLC absorbs the loss — not you.
Measurable Retention Lift
Employers offering earned wage access report up to a 16% reduction in turnover.² When a benefit directly reduces the financial pressure that drives people to quit, people stay. It’s that straightforward.
A Real Recruiting Advantage
81% of employees say they would take a job with an employer that provides free access to on-demand wages over an employer who does not.³ In a tight labor market, FlexPay can be the difference between a candidate accepting your offer and going elsewhere.
No New Software, No New Vendors
FlexPay lives inside the Netchex platform you already use. There’s nothing to install, no separate vendor to manage, and no new system for your team to learn. Turn it on and it’s ready.
Fewer Pay-Related HR Questions
Employees can check their available balance and request an advance on their own, 24/7. That means fewer calls to HR asking about mid-cycle pay advances, payroll timing, or pay stub questions.

Simple for You. Powerful for Your Team.
Your payroll process stays exactly the same — no IT project, no integration work required.
STEP 1
Your Access Is On Its Way
Getting started is simple. New customers can add FlexPay directly to their service order.
STEP 2
We Handle the Setup
Because FlexPay reads directly from Netchex Time and Attendance, there are no data feeds to build and no file transfers to schedule. Netchex provisions the benefit and your employees see it in their portal immediately.
STEP 3
Tell Your Team
Netchex provides ready-made communication templates: email announcements, break room posters, pay stub inserts, and FAQ sheets. Getting the word out is the most important step, and we make it easy.
STEP 4
Payroll Runs Exactly as Normal
On payday, any advances an employee took are automatically deducted from their paycheck as a clearly labeled post-tax deduction. Your payroll team does nothing extra. Reconciliation is fully automated inside Netchex.
What Your Employees Actually Experience
Your team doesn’t need a new app or a phone call to HR. They access FlexPay right inside the Netchex portal they already use, any time, any day, any shift.
No New App. Just Log In to Netchex.
Employees log into the same Netchex app they already use. No new download, no new login. FlexPay appears right on the home screen, showing their available balance and a clear prompt to receive their pay early.
Choose How Much
They can pick a preset amount ($20, $50, $100, $200) or enter a custom figure up to their available maximum. The available amount is calculated based on a portion of the wages they’ve actually recorded in the current pay period.
Standard or Instant, Their Call
Standard ACH transfers arrive in 1 to 2 business days for a delivery fee of $0. Instant transfers arrive within 30 minutes for a flat $4.99 delivery fee. The employee sees exactly what they’ll receive and by which delivery option, before they confirm the transfer request.
Straight to Their Bank Account
The advance is deposited to the same bank account linked to their payroll direct deposit. No new accounts to set up. Nothing to configure.
Automatically Repaid at Payday
Any amounts employees have advanced through FlexPay, as well as any applicable Instant Transfer fee, will be automatically deducted from scheduled payroll paychecks.
Netchex Customer Testimonials
Payroll Specialist

“I love the integrated platform. With our old payroll company you would have to make the same change in several different areas of the software. With Netchex, it only takes once. This system is so user-friendly, it makes training a breeze. And the customer service is second to none!”
Payroll Administrator

Netchex is wonderful. Everyone has been continuously impressed by the services they provide. Back when the new ACA regulations went into place, and even now with the whole COVID-19 situation, Netchex just continues to knock it out of the park

FlexPay FAQs
FlexPay is an Earned Wage Access (EWA) service provided by PayAccess Services LLC, a Netchex group company. It enables eligible employees to receive an advance on a portion of wages already earned before their scheduled payday. The entire EWA experience, including eligibility determinations, advance calculation, employee interface, and payroll reconciliation – is accessible within Netchex, with secure payment delivery. Employees access FlexPay through the Netchex portal, and your standard payroll processing continues unchanged.
Earned Wage Access has become one of the most-requested employee benefits, particularly among hourly and shift-based workers. Offering FlexPay can help your organization:
- Improve retention and reduce turnover costs
- Strengthen recruitment in competitive labor markets
- Reduce absenteeism caused by financial stress
- Enhance your overall financial wellness benefits offering
All of this is delivered at zero cost to the employer, with no impact on your payroll cycle or cash flow.
Unlike standalone EWA providers that operate as a separate platform on top of your payroll system, FlexPay is accessible within the Netchex platform. This means:
- No cost to you. There is no cost to enable FlexPay for your workforce. No funding of any EWA advance by you. No repayment of any EWA advance by you. The EWA advances are funded by PayAccess Services LLC, a Netchex group company. No recourse to you for any unrecovered EWA advances. We just ask you to notify Netchex immediately of any changes in the employee earning status, such as reduction in pay rate, separation, no-show, or termination by emailing
- Your payroll experience stays in Netchex: Eligibility, advance calculation, and reconciliation, all processed within the Netchex platform.
- The Employee’s EWA experience stays in Netchex and provides centralized visibility: Netchex provides a single access point for payroll, one source of truth across payroll, time tracking, and EWA.
Eligible employees can access up to 50% of the wages they have already earned in the current pay period. The exact available amount is calculated by FlexPay based on recorded hours in Netchex and is displayed to each employee as ‘Available advance’ on the FlexPay dashboard
FlexPay offers employees multiple options for delivery of the advance, including:
- Standard (no-fee) option: Employees may receive an advance on earned wages at no cost by selecting standard delivery, which may take up to 1-2 days for deposit into the employee’s bank account.
- Instant transfer option: Employees may elect to receive the advance on an expedited basis for a transfer fee (i.e. $4.99 per instant transfer), as disclosed to the employee at the time of the transaction.
- As part of the payroll process, Netchex will deduct the advance and any applicable transfer fee elected by the employee.
Other than the flat delivery fee for the instant transfer option, FlexPay does not charge a fee to use the service and does not charge interest or penalties.
FlexPay is currently not available to employees residing in California, Connecticut, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, Nevada, New York, South Carolina, Utah, and Wisconsin. This is subject to change, as we plan to offer FlexPay in additional states in the future, pending regulatory clearance. Employees in unavailable states will not see FlexPay in their Netchex dashboard. The rest of your workforce can use it normally. Contact your Netchex account manager for the current state availability list.
FlexPay is designed to align with state and federal consumer-protection standards. It is non-recourse, includes a free transfer option, discloses all fees upfront, performs no credit checks, and recovers advances through payroll deduction (not bank account debits). You can find the Conditions of Use, Privacy Policy, and GLBA Notice within the FlexPay product feature.
FlexPay will automatically be enabled in the future to eligible Netchex customers and their workforce as part of Netchex’s new standard employee payroll options. If you prefer not to enable FlexPay for your employees, please reach out to your Netchex Account Manager.
