A little more than two decades ago, Will Boudreaux aimed to disrupt the payroll market from within. In founding Netchex, he put forth an idea that HR management could be easier with a cloud-based, fully integrated software system designed to help growing businesses connect with their employees. Over the next 20+ years, Netchex helped transform the HR software space and grew into a nationally known and trusted brand—supporting over 7,000 customers and their 500,000+ employees.
As Netchex continues to evolve and look towards the future, Boudreaux has stepped down as CEO to become an active Board Member, where he will still focus on select strategic initiatives. David Giannetto, formerly CEO of WorkWave, has been named Netchex’s new CEO.
I will be stepping down as CEO, allowing a new leader with a fresh perspective, enthusiasm, and the right experience to help all of us achieve our respective goals,” Boudreaux explained. “I am not going away—only changing my role to one that is more strategic for the business, while allowing me to personally let off the gas a bit.”
Incoming CEO David Giannetto brings with him a wealth of SaaS and FinTech experience, with over 30 years leading organizations. A native of New Jersey and a U.S. Army veteran, Giannetto’s career has been centered around how technology and information drive business results. With that approach guiding him, Giannetto has an eye for the future of not only Netchex, but the payroll and HR industry as a whole.
Netchex is perfectly positioned to bring to life the promise that HR, payroll, and Human Capital Management technology can deliver a superior customer experience, while also focusing both companies and their employees on driving results critical to the business,” Giannetto said. “Netchex is a strong company, with passionate employees, and the right forward-looking ownership in GrowthCurve Capital–and that is the rare combination needed to do great things.
“David brings a wealth of experience, tremendous energy, and most importantly, a style that will merge perfectly with our culture and the initiatives we have under way,” said Boudreaux, who played a critical role in the hiring process and will be working directly with Giannetto through the transition.
After twenty-one years, Boudreaux reflected on his time at the company he founded by saying, “I bleed Netchex green. What makes Netchex great—and will always make us great—is the awesome team members that have believed in our vision and given so much of their time and commitment. Being able to see team members grow their career and more importantly find love, get married, build a dream home, have children, and even have some of those children come work at Netchex—that is what I am most proud of.”
